Quite the Affair

Before dating Bryan, I hadn’t been to a state fair since I was a kid. I have memories of riding tall slides in burlap bags, dashing about on the Scrambler, eating bright blue cotton candy, and hanging precariously over fair-goers on the Ferris wheel. With Bryan, I’ve been given a new perspective. Now, when we go to the fair, I look forward to visiting livestock, perusing the arts and crafts to observe the blue ribbon winners, special exhibits, and, of course, all things fried.

This weekend, Bryan and I attended our very first San Diego Fair. I ate a cricket, enjoyed a fried Klondike Bar, caught the greatest llama photobomb ever on camera, and strolled hand-in-hand with my love. As you’ll see, it was a perfect day.
