Making Your Worst Awesome

At the end of tonight’s class, Nikki Sensei was explaining to us why he tends to point out all the little mistakes that we make while training and, in the process, made an interesting point that I’d never really thought of before… He said that the very best you can do out on the street is probably the worst you can do in the dojo. There will so much going on that you won’t have time to think about correcting all the little points (posture, feet movement, balance, etc.). So we need to work hard during our time training in the dojo to make all those little corrections and make our very worst, awesome.
